Smoke-accented aromas of blackberry, licorice and botanical herbs, lifted by a peppery nuance. Cassis, cherry, and licorice flavors show a touch of bitterness and sweeten up slowly with aeration. Very primary and slow to unwind, displaying a good balance of depth and vivacity. Closes with repeating smokiness, firming tannins, and good, spicy persistence.
